It was a classic fall afternoon in New England as we filed into the small garden across from Hamilton Hall in Salem, Massachusetts the air has the crisp snap of fall and the leaves crunched underneath the heels of the bridesmaids. We'd have to move quickly because the sun starts to set quickly in November and we wanted to get a few more shots before the wedding ceremony after finishing their first look at the Derby Wharf and wedding photography on Salem's historic waterfront.

The wedding ceremony was held in Hamilton Hall's main ballroom, a bright and airy space with beautifully gilt mirrors that can make photography a challenge (mirrors having an interesting ways of bouncing light around rooms and showing your intrepid Boston wedding photographer as he's trying to take a dramatic shot of the bride), but it's a challenge worth taking up for as lovely a couple as Meredith and Dan.

Hamilton Hall in Salem, MA boasts a gorgeous Federal-inspired ball room dominated by a series of large gilt-framed mirrors. It is a beautiful spot for a wedding ceremony and can be turned around for use as a reception space while guests enjoy cocktails on the first floor. - Wedding Photography by Ryan Richardson Photography

After the ceremony, the guests decamped down the stairs to enjoy cocktails and appetizers while the ballroom was changed over for dinner service and the rest of the reception where guests enjoyed fine food and then tore it up on the dance floor. Such a fun wedding for such a fun couple. Congratulations!
