Love and Marriage: Our Policy on Same-Sex Weddings

Marriage isn't a piece of paper, or even just a celebration. Marriage is a path through life, a promise to take those steps with your partner through the good times and the bad.

Last week, the president took a step toward opening that path to all couples. At Ryan Richardson Photography, we'd like to reaffirm our support for all couples that want to share the rest of their lives together - whether their wedding has a bride and groom, two brides or two grooms.

As a Massachusetts wedding photographer, I've seen the impact of same-sex weddings up close. There has been no collapse of civilization, cats and dogs are not sleeping together, all that's happened are thousands of happy couples joinging together and creating a lifetime of memories. As a business we accept commissions from all couples, regardless of their orientation, faith or color (just as long as your check clears).

I look forward to the day where couples in every state can enjoy the same rights and priveleges, but until then you can always plan a beautiful Cape Cod wedding. And if you don't like it, you can always just mind your own bigoted business.
