Not every Cape Cod wedding needs a ballroom, a sprawling resort, or an itinerary that requires at least two clipboards, a wheelbarrow, and a holocaust cloak to pull off. Sometimes you just need a beach and exactly the right people to have the perfect celebration.
This intimate Cape Cod wedding began at Seagull Beach in Yarmouth, where the couple gathered with friends and family for a relaxed ceremony by the water, before heading back to the bride’s parents’ home for a backyard reception.
There was the beach.
There was the boardwalk.
Then there was the backyard clambake beneath a beautiful and boundless blue sky.
Sometimes the real beauty of a wedding can come from its simplicity, of breaking it all down to the most important parts of the day - love, community, and a few bottles of champagne.
Are you planning a more bare-bones wedding or elopement? I’d love to hear in the comments.
